People Are In Serious Disbelief After Dennis Quaid Was Interviewed In The Middle Of A Fire Evacuation

Dennis, who lives in Brentwood, fled his home this past week amid worsening conditions in the area.

And while Dennis was fleeing his Brentwood home on Friday, a reporter for NBC4 Los Angeles stopped him and awkwardly started speaking to him.

Dennis was rushing to load his car when the reporter asked if they could chat. "I'm gonna walk with you if that's okay," he began. "Tell me, what exactly is going on here?"

Dennis stopped and explained that he was evacuating after worsening conditions near his house. "On Wednesday, [smoke] came within 150 yards of the house," he said. "I got my wife and kids to the hotel and came back just in case to [make sure I] had cut off the gas and all those things you don't think of."

Dennis spoke to the reporter for a few more minutes before returning to loading his car. Only, the reporter continued to chat with Dennis, even making jokes as Dennis tried unsuccessfully to cram items into his car.

"How awkward, embarrassing, and downright rude," one YouTube comment said.

"this interview was an odd mix of bizarre, comical, touching, and somewhat uncomfortable…" one person added on X.

this interview was an odd mix of bizarre, comical, touching, and somewhat uncomfortable… but what I learned from it is that Dennis Quaid seems like a very nice fella: pic.twitter.com/JVthHv5zTL

Another said they were "embarrassed" for the reporter.

I’m embarrassed for the guy interviewing Dennis Quaid on the news. He’s trying to evacuate just like everyone else and you’re trying to make him your BFF.

"Not them interviewing Dennis Quaid while he frantically tries to pack his belongings to evacuate," read another tweet.

Someone else called it very cringe.

The phrase "a time and a place" certainly comes to mind...What do you all make of the clip? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
